MAZDA5: Seating for Six and Savings at the Pump

(continued from above)

For 2008, MAZDA5 was revamped with a freshened exterior design, five-speed automatic transmission, rear cool air vents, improved gas mileage, arm rests, standard auxiliary audio input jack, and new interior and exterior colors. As a further enhancement for the 2010 model year, all MAZDA5 models, including the Sport trim with five-speed manual transmission, are now equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Traction Control System (TCS). MAZDA5 continues to offer customers excellent value and fuel economy and an abundance of standard features in Sport, Touring and Grand Touring versions.

The MAZDA5 is powered by an all-aluminum 2.3-liter, four-cylinder MZR series engine, producing 153 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. A flowing wedge-shaped body with solid proportions defines the exterior of the MAZDA5 as unmistakably Mazda, while inside the cabin, the MAZDA5 offers a flexible seating arrangement. The large sliding doors and low floor allow for fluid ingress and egress, and a one-touch walk-in mechanism offers easy access to the third-row seats.

Distinctive Exterior and Interior Styling

MAZDA5 offers a distinctive image, led by its advanced design concept. The combination of a long 108-inch wheelbase and manageable overall length of 181.5 gives the MAZDA5 enhanced stability and handling, and a longer interior with plenty of cargo room - yet short front and rear overhangs for good maneuverability. MAZDA5's design starts with its wide stance, with the body gesture following from the tire sidewalls up. The headlights are straightforward but powerful, the hood bold yet refined. The sheer A-pillar design calls attention to the tight, tailored precision of the upper body.

The MAZDA5 is offered in six colors - Copper Red, Stormy Blue, Liquid Silver, Galaxy Gray, Brilliant Black, and Crystal White Pearl.

Despite its sharp looks, the MAZDA5 has been designed from the inside out - like all the best multi-function vehicles. So no matter whether you want to carry people or sporting equipment, the MAZDA5 delivers.
