BMW has released the best preview yet of the new M5, complete with insights
from their test drivers Bernd Limmer and Frank Lutz.
Known internally as
the F10M, the car is due to be released sometime this year, if not at the
Shanghai Auto Show next month, then at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
As you are about to see in the video, the
two test drivers share their thoughts only in German language. Because we are
not fluent in that language (read: we don't understand a word they say), here's
a
translation from
Worldcarfans.com: "Testing in the Alps the BMW M5 Prototype is driven by
test drivers Bernd Limmer and Frank Lutz. Limmer speaks about the M5 driving
capabilities under different driving conditions such as driving on snow. In
discussing M-Dynamic-Mode, the M5 suspension, Limmer demonstrates the DSC-System
by stopping and taking off on an uphill slope (taking foot off the brake pedal
and pushing the accelerator). Test driver Frank Lutz shows us how they measure
cold starts with a laptop."
